Mr. Nelson Mandela on SA banknotes

Its time, South Africa showing gratitude to Mr. Nelson Mandela.

Jailed for 27 years in prison for a movement known to the world as “Apartheid Movement”, Mr. Nelson Mandela who is now 93 is a man to whom the South Africa is expressing deep gratitude.

President Jacob Zuma, stating it to be a “humble gesture” is bringing Mr. Mandela on the face of the bank notes of South Africa. Speaking at the news conference recently at central bank of Pretoria, naming it “the beginning of a new ear of hope”, a complete set of currency notes is already in production. Though the exact date of release is yet not decided, it is expected that it will be put to circulation by the end of the year.
