KENYANS go for polls TODAY !!!
It's a day to select and elect their fourth President along with Governor, Senator, Member of National Assembly, Women
Representative and County Representative. They will elect six candidates when
they cast their ballots as per newly amended constitution.
Candidates have been requesting voters to exercise their fundamental
right and long queues have been reported at many places since the starting of
voting early in the morning.
Voting has been largely peaceful till this time except for a relatively
small incident of stampede at St. Monica Academy polling station in Kitengela
outside Nairobi where at-least 20 people have been admitted to St. Theresa
Hospital.
Kenya has gone for active use of electronics during these elections and
results are likely to be pouring out soon, after the voting ends.
2007-2008 had not been a good year in the history of Kenya. Around
1000-1300 people had lost their lives and thousands displaced, post elections. All eyes are
glued to this very important event and at strategic location in Eastern Africa.
All the best to the candidates. May God give wisdom to the citizens of
Kenya to choose their worthy leader while peace and prosperity prevails.
